Would like to learn more about embedded devices? Let me characterize them for you. Comparison to animals could make it easier. Stay tuned and follow my post to learn more or ask me for more details. #help #embeddeddevices #embeddedsystems

Small scale, like ants:
- not intelligent individually — based on microcontrollers
- perform simple tasks — i.e. measure humidity, control the valve
- energy-efficient and cheap — i.e.: cover large areas without maintenance need
- can work in a group — i.e. to sustain the right condition for plants grown in a farmland

Medium scale, like mouses:
- very intelligent — based on dense chips with various features
- almost everywhere — in your vacuum cleaner, mobile, drone
- perform complicated tasks — map the floor, avoid obstacles
- need to eat — frequently charged or constantly powered

Sophisticated — like dolphins:
- higher intelligence — customized chips with special features
- can be friendly but also violent — i.e.: space or military rocket
- well trained and reliable — works autonomously in real-time
- can work in a group in a synchronized manner to achieve a goal
